Inspiration

Our inspiration for DashGigs came from the growing need for a engaging platform that connects individuals with flexible gig opportunities. We wanted to create a space where gig hunters could effortlessly explore and find their ideal short-term jobs but not get frustrated/bored

What it does

DashGigs transforms gig hunting into a user-friendly experience. Users can swipe through reels of exciting opportunities, matching with gigs that align with their skills and preferences. The platform seamlessly connects gig seekers with a variety of short-term jobs, with a profile page that the users can make just with their github username.

How we built it

We built DashGigs using a combination of cutting-edge technologies and user-centric design principles. The platform is powered by Next.js, Node.js, Typescript and many more libraries , ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development of DashGigs, we faced several challenges, although the biggest challenge was building the whole system design and implementing it to make the generation of Ai generated videos automatic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take pride in creating a platform that not only meets the technical requirements but also resonates with our users. We have build a product that is ready to launch and will be shipping more in future. -- check the last point btw

What we learned

Building DashGigs was very interesting, it is one of those times when you get a crazy idea and you build it and see the product and you are just amazed at the possibilities of future.

What's next for DashGigs

The journey doesn't end here. We have exciting plans for DashGigs, really exciting ones, 1) users can create shareable links through which they can share their profile to recruiters 2) improving the algorithm through which you will get reccomendations based on users behavior on the website and skills. 3) that is not all through, we are working on a whole ecosystem where students can create a 30 sec video and recruiters will scroll and select students based on that -- i am personally really excited for this 4) we are also going to upload these video's on platforms like youtube, twitter, instagram. -- i think this will be very great because we can break the "reel algorithm" and since everything is automatic we wont need any manual labor.
