Inspiration
We actually heard that Coal theft is increasing day by day due to which the there is a large number of power cuts and it has also affected India's economy. Coal is a reliable fuel compared to solar power or wind energy, coal is a reliable, predictable and dependable fuel. While it may not be at the forefront of national energy production, it can provide in invaluable backup service, and a highly reliable fuel for house stoves. There are almost dozens of cases related to coal theft. Coal Industry faces a massive loss when some amount of coal is being stolen. Almost 25% of the coal is being stolen each and every year not only in India but in the whole World. But it is really hard to save coal before falling into the wrong hands. We can also implement and use our solution in different kinds of industries. So, in order to prevent this problem we decided to come up with a solution that would prevent Coal theft and bring sunshine to the future of coal industry.
What it does?
Firstly, with the help our website the organisation or the coal company should create an account and after they are done with creating an account. They should log in using their username and password. After that they will be able to create accounts for the Inspection and Logistics department which will monitor the databases that contains all the details related to that truck.
How did you built it?
We built it using html, css, python, opencv, Node js and mongoDB.
Challenges we ran into
We faced a lot of issues to run the server with Node js and for storing the database in MongoDb was not easy at all.
Accomplishments we are proud of
We are proud that we came up and did the solution in a short period of time.
What we learned
As we are beginners, we never thought that the website and image processing would be completed in this hackathon and due to the time limit we completed it really in a fast manner.
What's next for Detect Infinity
Our future vision is to implement and use this solution not only in trucks but also in trains and many other transportation services.
