DRIVE-GUARD

Inspiration

Over 72% of road accidents in India are caused due to reckless driving and traffic violations and there is no structured system in place to educate and penalize this behavior frequently to make every driver aware of the consequences of their actions.

What it does

Monitors face and eye movement Moniter speed and location using gps tracking.

How we built it

Made an app, made code using python for raspberry pi(4B). A web camera and a gps module are connected to the raspberry pi.

Challenges we ran into

Code errors, brainstorming ideas, brainstorming prototype model.

What we learned

Making the solutions and implementing them isn't as easy as thinking and brainstorming about them.

What's next for DRIVE-GUARD

1. Develop accident, speeding, rash driving detection.
2. Develop Hardware and Software further.
3. Pitching to government to make it a regulation
4. Integrate software with car instead of external hardware device.
5. Develop a global database to increase consumers.
6. Scaling Commercially
