Inspiration

We all have had the struggle of looking for parking on a crowded street or having to park far away from the intended destination resulting in a long walk. This application fixes the issue and also reduces this struggle as well as emissions from vehicles circling the block looking for a place to park.

What it does

It allows users to rent their driveway to other users. This reduces the hassle of looking for parking as well as helping to generate extra income.

How we built it

We used Next.js for frontend and Tailwind in order to make it more appealing. As for backend we implemented JavaScript and for the database we used MySQL. We also managed to implement Google maps API

Challenges we ran into

Implementing the database proved to be a struggle to integrate. Using new frameworks that we were not accustomed to made it hard to come up with a solution for this issue.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing this Hackathon because it was our first and creating a presentable demo seeing as how it was our first event

We would allow the app to display different images for the house instead of just one image.
