What it does

Easy Contract lets users upload their documents and choose from four powerful analysis options:

Clause-by-Clause Analysis – A deep dive into every clause, providing summaries, risk assessments, and suggestions to ensure fairness between parties.
Comprehensive Document Summary – Translates complex legal language into an easy-to-understand overview.
Risk Identification Through Figures & Amounts – Highlights specific financial figures, quantities, and amounts to pinpoint potential risks.
Cost Calculation – Calculates the total cost outlined in the contract and estimates future expenses based on its terms.

How we built it

We built Easy Contract using local LLM servers hosted by LM Studio, allowing users to run the software completely offline. This setup ensures data privacy while keeping the analysis fast and reliable. Our code is modular, making it easy to tweak and expand as needed. By defining specific functions for each analysis type, we streamlined the process and kept everything efficient.

Challenges we ran into

Debugging was one of the biggest hurdles. Sometimes, a tiny bug took over an hour to fix. Ensuring smooth communication between our LLM server and analysis functions required constant iteration and fine-tuning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a fully functional, locally run contract analyzer that simplifies complex documents. Seeing it work as intended—and knowing it can help people make better financial and legal decisions—makes all the effort worth it.

What we learned

This project deepened our understanding of Generative AI and its practical applications. We also learned a lot about debugging AI-powered tools, modular coding practices, and optimizing performance for document analysis.
