Inspiration
Our inspiration derived from seeing many adults suffer to manage their expenses. We've seen them use methods like excel and spreadsheets to manage their expenses and taxes; an extremely inefficient way to keep track of your expenses. This created a spark within us to create a website that would appeal everyone both young and old and at the same time keeping it very simple allowing it to be appealing a wider range of audience.
What it does
EasyFinance is a simple, way to keep track of income and expenses in a more efficient manner. At the start, you are required to sign up using your email and creating a password which leads you into a login page. From there, users are brought to the main website which greets them with an expense tracker. There are subsections where you can add your income using a plus sign before the amount you would like to add and a place where you can add your expenses using a minus sign before the amount you would like to add. The website then calculates your balance and manages your history so that you can always have your expenses from every time.
How we built it
To build this project we used HTML5, CSS3 and, JS.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was creating our UI for the website. This proved to be a great obstacle as we had less experience in this field. However, with determination and perseverance, we were able to overcome this obstacle and expand our knowledge in this field. Another challenge we faced was creating the main concept of our website; the tracking of expenses. We overcame this by using the trial and error method which was finally accomplished after a lot of hard work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The accomplishments we are proud of is creating the sign up and login page which took us the most time since it was the most tedious part of our UI.
What we learned
Things that we learned was to how create a strong UI and how to create a sign up page that is linked with a login page.
What's next for EasyFinance
For EasyFinance, our next step is fixing the UI/UX.
