Inspiration
As we were brainstorming ideas for this hackathon, we started absentmindedly dancing. We had a lot of fun together and decided we wanted to make a community dancing app! In today's world, social media has become an integral part of our lives. It has changed the way we communicate, interact, and share information. However, as social media continues to evolve, it is crucial that we also take steps to ensure it is a friendly, "green," and clean environment for teenagers. The younger generation is the future, and social media can be a powerful tool in inspiring them to create a positive impact on the world. By using social media to share stories of environmental activism, sustainability, and other green initiatives, we can motivate and encourage young people to get involved and take action. We must also consider the impact of social media on mental health and wellbeing. While social media has the potential to connect us with others and offer support, it can also be a source of anxiety, stress, and negative self-image. By promoting positive and healthy online interactions and encouraging self-care, we can create a safer and more nurturing environment for teenagers. In short, social media is a double-edged sword, and it's up to us to make it a force for good. By prioritizing a green, clean, and friendly environment, we can inspire the young generation to become positive agents of change and create a better future for all.
What it does
EchoWave is a social media app that educates its users on environmental, physical, and mental sustainability. The app is focused around promoting dancing challenges, which promotes physical health, and also sets a green social environment for teenagers and up. The challenges feature a dance which relates to one of the three sustainability topics.
How we built it
We used HTML code to create our website and Figma to create our branding and icons.

We were able to embed a video but not add sound.

What's next for EchoWave
In the future, we'll build the app on to be avaliable on the PlayStore and AppStore for Andriod and iOS devices. We will also be working with various sustainability organizations to promote eco-friendly values and collaborations with artists to promote their songs.
