Eco Plan-it is your go-to app for sustainable travel! 🚴‍♂️🌳 We promote eco-friendly journeys by providing customized routes ranked by eco-friendliness and carbon footprint. Earn carbon credits when you choose green modes of transportation and spend credits when opting for less sustainable options like cars. Plus, discover exciting eco-friendly activities along your route, such as visiting a local flower shop or a community garden. 🌸🌿

What We Learned

Throughout the development of Eco Plan-it, we leveled up our skills and knowledge in several key areas:

  • APIs: Integrated external APIs like Google Maps and Google Places to fetch real-time data and enrich user experience. 🔄
  • Full Stack Development: Built a comprehensive application covering both frontend and backend technologies, ensuring seamless interaction between the client and server. 🖥️🌐
  • Database CRUD Operations: Implemented Create, Read, Update, and Delete operations in MongoDB to manage user data and application state effectively. 📊
  • Version Control and Merge Conflicts: Mastered Git and GitHub for collaborative development, learning to resolve merge conflicts and maintain code integrity. 🤝
  • Designing Features and UI/UX: Focused on user-centered design principles to create an intuitive interface and engaging user experience. 🎨
