EdaptDB

Inspiration

This idea was inspired by a suggestion the Brookings Institute made for this hackathon. And I have family teaching in the school system. The school system is having to adapt during these unusual times. I want to help teachers, build a better school system.

What it does

"Crowdsources" teaching solutions during Covid-19. The app surveys solutions schools have come up with, to deliver education to your students during covid19. Visualizes the data collected so that school systems and teachers can 'compare notes' and improve their techniques.

How I built it

I built EdaptDB using React in the frontend and a Node.js Express.js backend with MongoDB as the database.

Challenges I ran into

Developing a good survey. And running into technical bugs in a short timeframe.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Release the app in short time frame 2 days.

What I learned

I learned how to deliver a prototype and solve problems quickly under time constraints . .

What's next for EdaptDB

Implement data visualization tools. Collaborate with researchers and teachers to develop better survey. Get the app production ready
