Inspiration
We are currently enrolled in many computer science classes, despite lacking prior experience in the subject. We've discovered that resources like YouTube videos are very beneficial in bridging this knowledge gap. We wanted to find a way to organize these helpful videos and resources, and share them with others like us!
What it does
Our project, EduCollage, is a website designed to enable students to efficiently organize and access helpful resources online, available for everyone to utilize! Through EduCollage, former students can pass down their knowledge, resources, and assistance to current students!
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the front-end. We used Python for back-end
Challenges we ran into
We're both very new to building projects and coding, so much of our project was learned on the spot through experimentation, exploration, and a lots of tutorials.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of all the new things we learned! We came into this project know nearly nothing, but now we know how to build a website!
What we learned
We learned how to build an interactive website with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how to web scrape.
What's next for EduCollage
Hopefully we can build out more of the backend and create a larger data base for various schools and their classes!
