Inspiration -

Women and Minorities proving competence to their male counterparts as well to their higher ups has always been a battle that women and minorities have faced some time throughout their life. Our idea is to focus on the start of eliminating this battle that women, minorities, and anyone in general may face.

What it does

Our app is geared towards creating a safe and anonymous space where employees, customers, and managers can endorse employees and give credit to their hard work. Employees who have been receiving many endorsements can then work towards winning badges, being recognized in their company, and use their reviews to apply to future jobs. Every week women employees with the most amount of endorsements will be recognized as the “Women of the Week”. We believe that these recognitions and these endorsements will start to eliminate some issues that women face in the workplace and hopefully create a space of mutual respect and hard work for all employees while also recognizing women in the workplace.

-Home Screen Tab Sliding feature that shows the employees around the area (top of the page) Location-based service that shows the stores plus its employees near you. This feature will be based on your current location at the time you are using the app. -Endorsements Tab (plus button on home screen) This separate tab would enable the co-worker or the customer to be able to endorse the said worker. They can input what store, who the employee is and what they want to endorse for. -Woman of the Week Tab This Tab would showcase a different Woman per week in which they would be given a shoutout and everyone can see the different endorsements that they received. -Login Page When users login to the app for the first time, they will create an account and then be assigned an anonymous character that will permanently be with them for the rest of the app usage.

How we built it

We created the UI aspect of this project using design elements.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints. Being able to make sure that we can finish within the time frame with everything that we wanted to implement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We really like what the app is designed for, its goal. We have also designed a logo as well as the different UI pages with a color scheme that really enable our app to be unique.

What we learned

We learned how to use our different skill sets and work together as a team. We also learned how to utilize Android studio and flutter in order to make app creation successful.
