Inspiration
Due to the pandemic, we recognized a problem with long lines outside of grocery stores especially in the winter season, so we wanted to create a solution.
What it does
Our app, Enqueue decreases your exposure to others and allows you to wait for stores in the comfort of your car or anywhere else you’d like to be. Once your spot in line is ready we send you a notification. Other in-app features include the ability to view store capacities and wait times, a map/search feature and accessibility features (different colour themes for the colour blind and text to speech).
How we built it
We designed an interactive mockup using Figma.
Challenges we ran into
We tried implementing our mockup into an app using Bravo Studio, however, we faced many issues and could not successfully implement it on time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Although we couldn't get our Bravo Studio app fully running, we were able to learn a new software and it was still rewarding to see a few pages working.
What we learned
We all learned the basics of Bravo Studio and how to troubleshoot in Bravo to fix errors that arose. In addition, a few members learned how to use Figma for the first time and how to prototype in Figma.
What's next for Enqueue
In the future, we want to make it an actual app either using Bravo or coding and publish it for public use. As of now, Enqueue services primarily to grocery stores but we can see our app expanding to retail and service stores as well.
