Inspiration

As college students, we know how hard it is to find peers to study with in class— especially if we don't know anyone in them. So, we created Etudami, a web application designed to make the study-buddy finding process easy.

What it does

Named by combining the French words etudier ("to study") and ami ("friend"), Etudami is your opportunity to make the most of your studying and collaborate with others to get the grades you deserve! By taking in your class schedule, Etudami creates a personalized list of fellow students that are in the same classes as you. You can then reach out to your match(es) and set up your first study session!

How we made it

Our frontend consists of a Python Flask server with HTML/CSS/JS and Bootstrap templates that allow for the user to create a profile with 2FA and human recognition, while our backend consists of the algorithms that take in the user's inputted schedule to find people with similar classes and allows them to communicate via text through the app.

We’re proud of the fact that we have a working prototype and are extremely excited to see where the future of Etudami takes us.
