Inspiration: The application comes from the issue of no social Communication between farmers and a larger market which has led to wastage and frustration in the agric sector. The need to encourage and put up a larger scale of meeting the global market was a big Vision we wanted to actualize.
What it does: Farmcart connect African farmers to it's global customers, the application helps to enable transaction and monitoring from the farm till it get to it's final destination. It also aid smooth payment process between farmers and it's customers
How we built it: We used a more simplified format in creating a farmer understanding will and the platform was built on React and Node .js
Challenges we ran into: Research what best fits our users and also time framing were our shortcomings
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We now have a solution that resonate with both Community and global goals adding up to substanablity (SDGs) which would both improve the agric system and also limit wastage.
What we learned: That Farmcart would always become a model for more outsourcing.
