Inspiration
Friends are the most important people in the world. They bring joy, happiness and color to our otherwise dull, boring black and white lives. The creators of FilosTrack (Filos means Friends in Greek) found that during the pandemic they had lost touch with many of their once close friends.
So we created a program that helps you maintain and track your relationships!
What it does
Our website uses science-based algorithms and user data to help users maintain and track their relationships. FilosTrack tells you when to contact your friends, keeps track of how often you talk to them and helps you schedule meetings with your friend. We are currently in the beta version and have many more features and functions coming soon.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Javascript
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to make the program use the data inputted from the user, process that and display it in the calendar.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of making a website that has the potential to improve the live, happiness and relationships of people around the world.
What we learned
Since we are beginners we learned a lot of stuff even basics. We learned how to use Bootstrap to help us make websites, how to make calendars and how to make a full stack website
What's next for FilosTrack
FilosTrack is just getting started! With enough time ( and hopefully funding) we aim to: team up with discord to so that you can import friends from discord to FilosTrack, so that we can track who you talk to on discord, or so that discord could recommend friends to talk to that you haven't talked to in a long time; when we have a larger userbase we also want to allow people to find friends on FilosTrack.
