Inspiration

We were inspired to create ForkChop after spending numerous evenings debating the best place to grab a bite to eat.

What it does

ForkChop takes the hassle out of group coordination by analyzing individual preferences and coming up with the best restaurants for everyone. Its intuitive card-swiping interaction provides a binary choice - making it simple to indicate your culinary preferences.

How we built it

ForkChop is an iOS app built with Swift. We used a Node.JS + Express backend and MongoDB as a NoSQL database.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges regarding the integration of the different platforms and efficient data transfer and storage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of making an app which can be used by our friends and the community at large, in everyday life.

What we learned

We learned more about the iOS and web platforms, and also gained a deeper understanding of product development.

What's next for ForkChop

We look forward to launching on the app store, and bringing friends and food together!
