Contributions
Lisette Isais - Created the inspirational frog that is on the home page. Natalie Mosqueda - Built the home page of Froganizer. Mira Espiritu - I worked on the To-Do List page. It allows you to write the tasks for that day, cross it out when you single-click it, and delete it when you double-click it. Isabella Montemayor - Built the Frog-O-Meter to help track the user’s emotions each day.
Inspiration
We all have online organizers or planners that are always missing something special, so we had an amazing opportunity to make the organizer our own! We wanted to create something practical and a tool we could all potentially use in our everyday life and that would combine our similar interests: frogs!
What it does
Froganizer helps the user organize/plan out their day while inspiring them and helping them track their emotions in a fun and practical way. It includes a home page with a calendar to keep track of events, a Frog-o-meter to track your emotions by clicking on the frog that best described your day, and a to-do-list to keep track of your tasks for the day.
How we built it
We all had to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the website.
Challenges we ran into
This was our first time creating an HTML website and using HTML in general. We did not let the amount of knowledge we had on this language limit our imagination nor image for how we wanted to execute our project. We spent many hours troubleshooting and getting our questions answered from YouTube videos and helpful websites that would break down what we were trying to accomplish (using/ top-down design).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we all were able to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
What we learned
We learned that it is okay to not know everything you need to know and when uncertain about something it is more than okay to reach out to someone for help. Through hard work, grit, and effective collaboration skills through communication we were able to create something truly magical.
What's next for Froganizer
If we had more time to expand on our project we would have made a more elaborate project that would add events to the calendar and track the user’s emotions, but regardless we are more than satisfied with how it turned out in the end.
