FruityLicious is an innovative and addictive cross-platform game that blends the elements of strategy and puzzle-solving. Players receive random "fruits" that drop into a box, and their goal is to strategically place them near similar fruits. When matching fruits collide, they pop and evolve into the next higher-value fruit, with the ultimate objective of creating coconuts for maximum points.
Initially, the game featured actual fruit graphics, but limitations with the physics engine led to a creative pivot: the fruits were replaced with spheres of varying dimensions, resulting in smoother gameplay while the original fruit designs became charming decorations and later on served as a side quest in the game.
Features:
- Four Playing Stations: Compete or collaborate with friends on fourinteractive stations.
- Hangout Spots: Relax and watch others play in designated hangout areas.
- Fruit Collection: Collect small fruits across the forest and place them into the basket.
- Selfie Station: Capture memories with a branded frame for a fun photo opportunity.
Development Journey:
Through developing FruityLicious, I have significantly enhanced my TypeScript skills and plan to continue improving the game post-competition. Future updates will include:
- Swappable themes allowing players to change the fruits to other themed objects.
- Expanded design options for a more personalized gaming experience.
- Better optimization and additional playing stations to accommodate more players.
