Inspiration

The original motivation for the Fueli project stemmed from a desire to develop a more personal and engaging way for individuals to donate and receive donations.

As a team of blockchain enthusiasts, we were inspired by the potential of decentralized networks to establish a new method of giving back to the community.

Our objective was to build a platform that not only makes donations more fun but also inspires more individuals to support open-source organizations. Producers may use Fueli to rapidly create video appreciation that's in line with their style and brand, making the giving experience more personal and memorable.

We believe that blockchain technology has the ability to completely transform the way we think about charity donating, and we are excited to be a part of it.

What it does

As passionate supporters of open-source initiatives, we are pleased to introduce Fueli, a peer-to-peer contribution DAO network that is revolutionizing the way we give and receive donations. By leveraging the Theta Video API, Fueli produces unique NFT video gratitude for each charity donation made to fresh open-source projects on Theta Network.

What sets Fueli apart is its personalized touch. With adaptable templates and automated settings, Producers can quickly create video gratitude that aligns with their brand and style.

Contributors receive a link to their personalized video NFT, which they can share on social media or keep as a reminder of their generosity.

Fueli also offers configurable donation objectives, real-time donation monitoring, and anonymous donation capabilities. By voting for your favorite initiatives with Fueli token, you can have a positive impact on blockchain society at large.

How we built it

We learned about the hackathon the day before the deadline and the project became possible only because of the valuable contribution of such open source initiatives as:

Tally — fully-fledged ochain governance Tookey — MPC Wallets and automation Nextjs + wagmi + connectkit + tailwindcss — Frontend libraries and frameworks what make dapp creation easy and fast Hardhat + OpenZeppelin — solid base for any protocol

We decided to implement DAO mechanics to promote long-term user participation, so every individual who sends funds for charity support becomes a member of the DAO and can further define the purpose of expense through gaining voting power. Now he/she can decide on voting for current as well as new and upcoming open-source initiatives.

A vital component of minting is the use of tookey automation scenarios based on MPC technology. These scenarios begin by mentioning the donation deposit and then generate video NFTs using distributed private key technology.

To achieve a smooth interaction between the contribution and video-generating processes, our team used the Theta Video API to construct this platform. We have created an easy-to-use interface for producers to simply customize their video gratitudes and donors to conveniently make donations.

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenge for us was to develop an automated video-generation method that would allow the project to be straightforward and easily scalable while producing films of exceptional quality and offering the greatest user experience possible.

One of the most difficult problems we faced was assuring the platform's security and dependability, especially when dealing with sensitive information such as donor data and transaction records. We also had to collaborate closely with the Theta Video API to verify that our platform was entirely compatible with technology and that we were utilizing it to its greatest potential.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Overall, we are very proud of Fueli and feel that it has the potential to make a significant difference in the world of philanthropic contributions. We believe that developing on Theta Network will encourage others to think creatively about how they might leverage blockchain technology to create more meaningful and engaging experiences for their users.

What's next for Fueli

To maximize the effect of our platform, we intend to broaden our reach and collaborate with additional creators and a nonprofit organization. The objective is to make it easier for creators of open-source solutions to shine. Theta Network and the blockchain as a whole would not exist without inspired individuals trying to adopt technology and make it accessible to a wider audience for free.

We also established a target for DAO performance of obtaining 15.000$ in funding to hold the first hackathon of DAO sympathy to promote the ongoing development of open-source initiatives and to grant an opportunity to outstanding individuals who have been highlighted by the community.
