Inspiration
After doing a quick research on the internet I found that there's no e-marketplace specifically developed for eco-friendly and that inspiration lead me in accomplishing this project.
What it does
It's an e-marketplace where sellers can promote their eco-friendly products to the respective audience
How I built it
After brainstorming the idea, first I started developing the front end because I knew that surely I don't have enough time left. Then during the remaining time, I developed the backend which is a REST API as much as I can during the remaining time and connected it to the front end.
I have used the following tools and technologies in this project
- React.Js
- Express.Js
- MongoDB
- AWS Simple Storage Service
- TailwindCSS
- Auth0
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge I had to face was the timing since I started the development bit late(20 hours before the deadline). Also, this was the second time I used Auth0 in a project and I had to research it too.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It's been a long time since I submitted a project to a hackathon and It's always a great feeling
What I learned
- Using Auth0 in a full-stack project
- How OAuth works
What's next for GreenSale
As I said earlier I couldn't complete the project on time. So first I'd finish it and make it production ready. Next, I'll think of implementing functionalities such as
- Online ordering
- A blog
- Stock management etc.
Built With
- amazon-web-services
- auth0
- mongodb
- node.js
- react
- tailwindcss
