Inspiration
Pittsburgh's water is not in a good place right now - the average person should be able to test their water easily and hassle free. H2GO removes all discrepencies and tells you whether your water is safe to drink or not
What it does
Test the pH, copper, and iron level of water and tells user whether it is safe to drink or not
How I built it
Using a camera attached to a raspberry pi, our project takes images of strips dipped in water entered by the user. A box made of chip board holds the strips for an easy workflow. The camera send the image to a python script where it's pixels are processed and the levels are verified. A signal is send back to the raspberry pi led display letting users know if the water is safe
Challenges I ran into
Getting the camera to work with the raspberry pi, communicating between the pi and python script
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Getting everything to semi work
