About the Application
MapDemic shows real time advent of a disease. Via this app, one can track the extent and spread of a disease and help save our loved ones.
Inspiration
Our idea comes from the fact that in a populated city like Delhi, diseases can spread like a wildfire. And hence to prevent epidemics or even pandemics, we built this app
What it does
The idea is simple yet complex. We make hospitals/medical centres enter the data of diseases(ie number of confirmed cases ) and show it real time on a map. Via this info and a statistical method, we make heat map that tell you the extent of the disease
How we built it
Using MEAN Stack for Web Based Application Using Java and Android Studio for Android Based Application
Challenges we ran into
Time management was a major issue. Also, how inputs from hospitals will be taken and shown real time was a challenge to overcome.
