Inspiration
On a daily basis, we use many skincare products, so we deserve to choose the one that is best for our health
What it does
By taking a picture of ingredients on a particular skincare product, the app will identify the potentially harmful ingredients and display them to the user.
How we built it
We used React-Native since it's one of the most popular mobile development frameworks, we implemented several different libraries to pick images and display them.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was to implement the OCR for extracting texts inside an image. Some of the libraries were outdated so, we had to dig through a lot of documentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was my first time working on a mobile application, so I'm proud that I was able to come this far in a short amount of time.
What's next for Healthy Skins
Our next steps will be to turn this project into a real-life application where it can be beneficial to people.
