Inspiration

Email Inbox Nightmare-One of our biggest yet most important timekillers is replying to emails. Most of our inboxes are a mess - 100s of unread emails - all of which need to be read, answered, snoozed or archived. One chore we hate everyday is getting to emails.

What it does

Imagine you could get to Inbox 0 on your 15 minute ride to work? 
Inbox0 is a voice assistant that reads your emails, summarizes them, and helps you reply, delete, archive or snooze based on the content of the email. Have a clean, tidy inbox with inbox 0.

How we built it

We used an MCP server for Gmail - also added some required functionality. We integrated that with a voice interface and built an iOS app which connects with all of these pieces.

End result - an app that runs on CarPlay - speaks to your email and helps you reply, delete and update all the emails.

Challenges we ran into

  • No APIs for certain basic features of Gmail MCP.
  • Getting access to host our iOS app

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Building a cool useful voice assistant that helped us solve one of our biggest grievances

What's next for Inbox0

  • TestFlight this app and add a stripe link to get payments for this
  • Add more robust reply features with canned responses, templated signatures, etc
  • Add support for other email inboxes
  • Enrich MCP server to allow full support for Inbox Zero principles.
