Job Blitz

Inspiration

Our inspiration was our desire for using modern resources to solve an issue lots of younger people have these days.

What it does

Job Blitz allows users to enter their skills and interest, and be feed potential college majors and/or jobs to pursue. Once an idea has been found, users can speak with our chatbot about any concerns or questions they may have.

How we built it

We used Godot 4.3 and its native scripting language, gdscript, to quickly get our project together. We wanted our project to me more "game like" so it could feel more fun and interactive as opposed to a typical form.

Challenges we ran into

We faced some challenges early on with using ChatGPT since Godot doesnt have any library built just for it. That meant we had to do it ourselves with HTTP request.

We also had trouble coming up with a usable UI. It is something we all find very difficult and in the end we are proud of what we have come up with.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting ChatGPT request working with a memory of previous conversations.

What we learned

We improved our teamworking abilities and learned how to spread our resources efficiently.

What's next for Job Blitz

Use our marketing strategies to get our app out there and provide constant maintenance to ensure the quality of our app.
