Inspiration
We are enthusiastic about great music and the the VR experience. There are many people who does not have a powerful PC available at home. This is exact reason why Google Cardboard exists and we want to share the great experience of the VR with as much people as possible.
What it does
It showcases different open-sourced(and hand-made) music visualizations in VR realms.
How it is made
Visualizations are done using the three.js and are cross-browser compatible. It is later going on mobile via PhoneGap and works as the WebView.
Challenges
Moving the visualizations and adapting them for the use in the VR was nearly as difficult as making it work with the phone's gyroscope.
Accomplishments
It actually works (wow (it is even cross-platform(!) (probably) ) )
Knowledge
Now we know that current web views work great with WebGL and it is possible to make it to show off some great visual effects not only on the best of class smartphones.
What is next
It is possible to create a platform for people to share their visual experiment with others or integrate this experience with already existing music applications for a better user engagement.
