Lead Poisoning Awareness Project

Inspiration:

The idea for our project was inspired by a YouTube video we came across that discussed the dangers of lead poisoning and its impact on human health. Despite the efforts made by governments and organizations to reduce the occurrence of lead poisoning, it is still a major problem affecting people all over the world, even in this day and age. This realization was a wake-up call for us, and we felt a strong urge to do something about it.

What We Learned:

We had limited knowledge in data visualization and data analytics, but we saw this project as an opportunity to learn and expand our skill set. We learned about various frameworks and libraries such as D3.js and Matplotlib, which were very interesting and exciting to work with. In a short period of time, we were able to create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations that effectively conveyed the message we wanted to convey.

How We Built the Project:

We started by researching the topic and gathering data from various sources. However, finding relevant and accurate data was one of the biggest challenges we faced. Despite this, we were able to gather enough data to get started on our project. Next, we used the data to create interactive visualizations using pandas and Matplotlib. The code was written in Python, and we made sure that it was well-documented and easy to understand.

Challenges We Faced:

One of the biggest challenges we faced was finding relevant and accurate data for our project. Kaggle did not have any datasets related to our topic, so we had to rely on other sources. Additionally, as we were new to data visualization and data analytics, we faced challenges in learning how to effectively use the frameworks and libraries in a short period of time. Despite these challenges, we were able to overcome them and create a project that we are proud of.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, this project was a great learning experience for us. We gained knowledge in data visualization and data analytics, and we were able to make an impact by raising awareness about lead poisoning and its impact on human health. Although we feel that we did not even scratch the surface of what we wanted to do, we are proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to taking on more projects like this in the future.
