Inspiration
There is need of time for children to understand about importance of money .With the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the economy, financial planners say even children have started to realize its impact on their parents’ incomes. To make kids and teens acquainted with finance terms , "Learn-Fin" provides lessons for each section and quiz to test.
What it does
Helps kids and teens to learn finance and money related terms in a fun and interactive way ! This website is developed for kids and has short , simple , easy to understand lessons and quizzes for kids .
How I built it
Used frontend techstack , backend as Node.js and database as MongoDB.
Challenges I ran into
Finance Section is vary vast and never ending. First , we thought we could be able to get quiz questions from APIs available or scrape them , but we couldnt find any specific which could cover all the finance terms .Then we decided to understand , learn and search for contents which is simple to understand as this website need to be sweet and simple . So, there were many terms and sections which we learned for the very first time and it was a great experience to explore the 'finance' world out there. We presented it in simplest meaning possible !
To make the User Interface attractive for kids , we incorporated 'Dark Mode' which is in trend nowdays. It demanded proper understanding of color codes . So that was a challenge in itself .
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Learning myself and exploring finance world and making an end-product for the same.
What's next for Learn-Fin
Get quiz questions from websites providing finance quizzes and present it to user.
Implement a 'Fuzzy Logic' learning model which will throw simple questions at first and then will predict user expertise and go on increasing or decreasing level of questions according to the performance as they are attempting the quiz.
