Inspiration

In Sri Lanka, I have seen lots of ambulance that struggle to go to their specific destination during heavy traffic. Specially during office times

What it does

So if their a solution which notifies the other drivers with a distance at least of 1Km range when a Ambulance enters, it will be really useful for both drivers and Ambulances to do their tasks properly. So in our application we'll be sending a notification to drivers while they are driving when an Ambulance is near them

How I built it

So since this is an Android focused mobile application I have used Flutter for the front end and Node.Js for the backend.

Challenges we ran into

Within 48 hours it's was a difficult thing for me to complete the whole project. So I thought to complete what I can do within 48 hours and submit it. Also another challenge I faced was I didn't had a clear idea how to send data and retrieve data in real-time about the ambulance.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

So, at the end of the day, I was able to do what I was able to do and It was a huge achievement for me since I have used Flutter for the first time in a hackathon. Also, I'm planning to complete this application and publish it to play store in near future.

What I learned

I got to know about how to handle web sockets in Flutter, how Google maps Android SDK work and many more things by developing this mobile application

What's next for Let Me Go

So first of all I'm planning to complete the UI and then I'm thinking of integrating Call The Doctor web application to this app. Call The Doctor is a web application which patients can use to notify the nearest medical team in case of an emergency.
