Inspiration

As university students, we've frequently found ourselves agreeing to projects, events, and meetings - more so than what would we can necessarily handle. With the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, it only exacerbated our feelings of burnout. It has been apparent to us that we need to keep tabs on maintaining a healthy work-life balance and we hoped we could use this project as a step in the right direction.

What it does

ManageMIND is a scheduler that keeps track of your emotions as you go about your day. The user inputs in the tasks that they wish to complete for the day, and ManageMIND returns recommendations on the stress level of the day. As it learns about your habits, it is able to provide more suitable recommendations for future days.

How we built it

For our frontend we used JS/HTML/CSS with Bootstrap for styling. We implemented the backend using Flask and store our data using Google Firebase. The machine learning features were built using the scikit-learn library.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the front end to the back end server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Proud for completing a full-stack project in addition to implementing aspects of machine learning.

What we learned

Connecting frontend and backend features is hard!
