Inspiration
One of the biggest problem with today's healthcare is accessibility. Many people have a hard time obtaining medical attention for common problems due to geographic barriers or complex routes that deter rather than help. Today's online health self help systems are designed by doctors who speak in a lingo not conducive to the general population. MeCheck is the quickest & easiest solution to help laymen receive basic medical attention.
How It Works
MeCheck's simple search allows users to quickly and efficiently enter symptoms that are a result of colds or injuries. It then searches a database for supporting causes. After the user chooses the illness they have it takes them to a page that shows possible medications and treatments they can take. In addition, it shows a map of pharmacies where the medication listed can be picked up.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges we ran into was integrating Google Maps API. The API didn't fully support all the features present in the REAL google maps. Another challenge we ran into was creating a clean design that allows the user to focus on what they want to search.
