Inspiration
5 students came together, interested in healthcare and predictive data science.
What it does
Predicts how likely you're going to be readmitted to the hospital given certain input parameters.
How we built it
Using python and associated ML libraries.
Challenges we ran into
Our dataset and technically filtering out the correct parameters that were most relevant
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning and incorporating principles learned in workshops toward a practical problem and realize some of the limits
What we learned
No matter how much computational power or how many analytical techniques are used, appropriate data always matters.
What's next for Med ReAD
Continue to aggregate data and search for even more parameters that could be relevant to clinical outcomes.
