Inspiration
The problems in the healthcare industry regarding unverifiable prescriptions, licenses, certifications and not having ownership of critical patient data inspired me to develop this application.
What it does
1- Doctors and Patients have full ownership of data using DWNs. 2- Sharing of Patient Data using Protocols. 3- Sharing of Prescriptions with Patients using Protocols.
How we built it
NextJS, Web5, Mantine, NodeJS, DWNs, Web 5 Protocols
Challenges we ran into
Creation of Protocols and Sharing of Data
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Simplifying patient onboarding using QR Codes.
- Using DWNs for managing doctor and patient data while having full ownership.
- Creation of Protocols to restrict access using contracts.
What we learned
- How to use Web5 SDK
- Data Storing and Sharing with DWNs
- Using Protocols to create contracts between DWNs.
- Using Verifiable Credentials.
What's next for MedWeb5
Some of the features that can be added in the future:
- Verifiable Prescriptions Generation using VCs.
- Allowing Patients to choose which data to share with the doctors and clinics.
- Verifiable Doctor Certificates and Licenses Generation using VCs
- Pharmaceutical store features for prescription scanning and validation, generation of verifiable receipts
Built With
