Inspiration

I'm an independent Unity developer. The app is based on the underwater world. I'm passionate about spearfishing and scuba diving. The app is for relaxing and seeing real marine life. You descend to 3000 meters deep with relaxing music and ASMR-like bubbles while watching marine life in a submarine, accompanied by an NPC.

What it does

Simulation of a journey to the depths of the ocean from the surface to 3000 meters.

How we built it

It's very simple. You simply choose a male or female NPC guide, follow them to a submarine, and that's where it all begins.

Challenges we ran into

Relax after a stressful day. The app takes a little over half an hour to complete. I designed it this way so it's easy to see the entire trip. It still has some details to polish, as I've had very little time to develop it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Exploring the depths doesn't actually present any significant challenges. The goal is to relax; the movements are gentle, without any sensation of dizziness.

What we learned

You'll learn about 30 species. Right now, the app has music and its purpose is for contemplation and relaxation, because I haven't had time to implement the theory and explanations for each species. However, I've left the app closed with music as a fully functional relaxation app, although I still have some things to finish.

What's next for Meta Submarine

For Meta Submarine, I need to translate the app into seven languages; it's currently only available in two. I have to implement the biological theory for each species within the submarine. Inside the submarine, there's a screen that will display information about the species we see, and a voiceover will explain aspects of their biology. I also want to create another scene with a kind of underwater laboratory located at a depth of 3,000 meters.
