Inspiration

It all began during our initial brainstorming session, where we jotted down a variety of hackathon ideas. Both Aldo and Subramanian—who regularly run A/B tests in their development and startup roles—immediately recognized the limitations of traditional user testing. Aishwarya echoed their concerns, having seen first-hand how slow and expensive those tests can be (A/B tests often take 2–8 weeks and cost between \$199 and \$7,000+ per month!).

To validate the problem, we conducted a series of user interviews with startup founders, business stakeholders, and technical experts. Around that time, Vinamra joined the team, bringing fresh perspectives on product strategy. These conversations revealed that while analytics tools capture quantitative data effectively, the real gap lies in obtaining rapid, qualitative feedback that feels personal and human.

Faced with two potential directions—deep analytics versus real-time user interaction—we performed a root-cause analysis. We discovered that solutions for instant, conversational feedback were virtually nonexistent. That insight inspired us to pivot and build Mimix: an AI-powered system that simulates genuine user conversations and delivers immediate, actionable insights.

Challenges we ran into

    Ensuring outputs closely simulate real users required extensive research and tuning (we even explored AGI papers!).
  • Authenticity vs. Hallucination
    Fine-tuning prompts to avoid fabricated details took significant effort.
  • Speed vs. Depth
    Balancing response quality with low latency forced us to optimize inference pipelines and caching.
  • Global Time Zones
    Our international team (USA, Canada, UK, Indonesia) juggled time differences and full-time responsibilities—but we made it work!
