Inspiration
We had the idea that not everyone may know about PEMDAS and it is quite easy to understand. Then we decided to make a game to help those who enjoy learning in a fun way. By fighting against the formula PEMDAS, people may find it to be more fun and enjoyable than just sitting in a classroom and learning.
What it does
It teaches you how to use PEMDAS and gives you problems to test yourself on how well you can do. It makes you compete against the villain. The way to defeat the villain is to answer questions correctly without losing all of your health when the villain answers correctly.
How we built it
We built it by using the coding website Snap. we thought it would be better to use because many of the commands were already given.
Challenges we ran into
Even though the blocks were given, we still faced bugs and errors while coding. There were many times when the characters wouldn’t work the way we wanted. It is sometimes very difficult to change the coding to the way you want it to work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how the overall game turned out to be working okay. It basically came out the way we had in our mind before creating it.
What we learned
We have learned that we will face many challenges when creating a code. There are areas that sometimes go wrong and it may take a while to find or fix. There are also times when you may not be able to fix it and have to change your original thoughts.
What's next for Mind Battle: Math
Mind Battle: Math will have new villains helping you learn other math skills. There will also be other versions of Mind Battle that include other subjects. For example, Mind Battle: English and Mind Battle: Science.
