Inspiration Missionable is inspired by the desire to build authentic, engaged, and connected communities centered around meaningful activities and shared experiences.

What it does Missionable helps organizations issue digital badges for various social activities, creating a platform where users can join like-minded communities and engage in tailored experiences. It empowers users to showcase their achievements, while organizations can track and foster community growth.

How we built it We started with a minimal viable product (MVP) that focused on core features such as badge issuing, storage, and sharing. We collaborated with Brandeis University for the DEIS Hacks event, collecting feedback to refine and expand our platform.

Challenges we ran into Some of the challenges we faced included user adoption, effective engagement strategies, and ensuring a seamless integration with existing organizational platforms.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Our accomplishments include a successful pilot with Brandeis University, 100+ badge signups, and a 40% conversion rate of users who enjoyed a Starbucks coffee through their participation badge. These milestones indicate our progress in building a meaningful platform for communities.

What we learned We learned about the importance of authenticity, user experience, and effective communication in building strong communities. We also discovered the need to develop a scalable platform that can grow with our users' needs.

What's next for Missionable The next steps for Missionable include expanding our testing with more organizations, refining our platform based on feedback, and continuing to build our team with diverse skills to tackle marketing, sales, and product development challenges.
