How we built it
We used the Flask library for Python, alongside other languages from the standard webdev toolkit, to allow for the upload of lecture notes that are automatically formatted for our database and ready for anyone to add their interpretation of via the selection of sentences.
What we learned
SQLite, database building, building webapps and making efficient use of website templates
What's next for Monocol
Monocol was envisioned as an open-source tool that any student could approach their university about setting up on a local level, as a way to share their understanding of lectures with classmates.
