Inspiration

Getting more familiar with how technology will be used in the next few years using VR and handmotion to do a variety of tasks, simulations, gaming.

What it does

It connects to a remote server sending a unique identifier to create a session. Once it creates it each Client communicates with the others via Remote Procedure Calls. We used a Photon Unity Networking API in order to establish connection.

How we built it

We build it mainly using Unity and Visual Studio to create the scripts to connect the entire whole. We used a variety of libraries to communicate with the Oculus and the Leap. We tried to build from ground the assets and scenes as much as we could.

Challenges we ran into

We had problems with connecting to remote machines. So we had to establish server-client based network. We also ran into a problem of implementing grabbing. We also wanted to record more complex hand gestures to have more functionality.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we made it working even though we had difficulties.

What we learned

We learned that we should always do things with passion and time flies really fast.

What's next for Multi Moon VR

Implementing more functionality in terms of hand gestures and scores and bigger multiplayer experience.
