Inspiration
We were inspired by the art and gaming track, specifically the prompt "What creative outlets could be viable on a global scale to encourage online connectivity?". We aimed to see how we could connect people online to get creative
What it does
Our application works to create dashboards which users log into via twitter. These dashboards can have media like art or photographs added by friends. Users have the accessibility to work with each other to develop art together in a fun creative way.
How we built it
We built this by authenticating users via twitter's api. We then use Firebase to get unique uid keys, which we store in our mongodb-atlas database. We used a springboot and node.js backend to create user, various unique types and objects, and then react for our front end implementation of canvas spaces and user interfaces.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges connecting our variety of tools in the tech stack all together. We eventually overcame these issues but had to work very hard to do so.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of developing a full-stack highly advanced technical communication app from scratch to address a niche concern and need that has gone unaddressed in the creative world
What we learned
We learned how to integrate a variety of technologies together cohesively to develop a full-stack tool capable of scalability.
What's next for Murality
We plan to enhance our functionality to handle even more user scale and to be able to grow further in the future.
