Inspiration
We wanted to do something cool with hardware none of us had used before
What it does
Using an Android phone paired with a Muse headband through bluetooth, we can communicate in Morse code by blinking (dots) and clenching jaw muscles (dashes). The app converts these signals into letters
How we built it
We used Android Studio (Java) and the Muse headband API.
Challenges
Timing of signals being sent and synchronization of detection, as well as imperfect signals from hardware.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We solved these issues in pretty cool, sometimes unorthodox, ways.
What we learned
We learned how to interface between the Android device and the headband, and how to process a constant stream of signals
What's next for Muse Code
Make a prettier UI, and incorporate multi-device support
