Inspiration

Nowadays marketplaces (centralized solution) are optimized to the advantage of distributors and big supermarket chains and as a consequence, huge amounts of products which make their vitrine is not sold out and are wasted. Shop’s spaces in supermarkets are expensive because of the price of the land. People lose a lot of time passing by shops and queues. Even worth due to the recent pandemic (Covid-19) these kinds of marketplaces are risky for health.

It's the moment to design more efficient ways of shopping considering Ethics, Transparency, Accessibility, Health care, and the global cost for human society.

Supplier - Consumer Cooperatives and recent technologies help to respect nature, support small producers, care about the health of citizens, and save their time and money.

What it does

Defines a virtual social network of cooperation between local producers-consumers and creates a direct link in between, so avoid health risk, Supports local SMEs which are fragile in these days, Reduces food wast, Optimizes the relation of cost and quality of shopping, Creates new job positions by recreating the traditional marketplace.

How I built it

We just tried to remodel today's market, considering the traditional marketplaces that today do not exist anymore and realizing them by new technology enhancements. using the decentralized modeling of management instead of the current way of treating the problem. knowing that the Delivery cost is one of the main obstacles for our solutions, we tried to come up with this problem by a collective acquisition that divides the expenses between several costumers.

Challenges I ran into

we made up the team, we get to know each other in EUvsVirus hackathon, we tried to redefine and simplify the main problem that we encountered. the multi-ethnicity nature of our group gave us the power of looking at the problem from different points of view. after brainstorming and listening to ideas we tried to describe several scenarios, that could define the interaction between players of the Problem. but we should concentrate on developing the ideas and take a deeper look at the new subproblems that born in solution. The problem is too vast and we could only present some of our solutions that we figured out.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Teamwork, try to go ahead with the solution, while we get to know each other and our abilities. overcoming obstacles, trying to help society during hard times. thinking on a decentralized way to imagine the future of our society Management, rather than today's inconvenient way.

What I learned

we learned to respect and learn from other Ideas, we understood that there are a lot of obstacles that both suppliers and consumers are faced especially in difficult times like the COVID-19 pandemic. we understood that we can have a better life still, we can use the human experience to consider the exigency of humbleness and think about global benefit.
