When was the last time you bought an online course and completed it? Do you know what is the completion rate of online courses?

"Just less than 4%." - This 4% is really disturbed my team, we want to solve this.

"Nearly 90% of people are failing to complete the Online course."

we are on the mission to build an interactive learning platform by saving time and money ($$).

What it does

we are Occupay.

what if I tell you, you can earn($) some money while you learning the course you purchased.

Yes, we built a platform Any instructor/creator can upload the skill content(Video) for sale, Any user in our platform can able to see the course without paying for the whole course, and also while he is spending time on learning he can able make some cents.

In short, "Recharge the wallet, click on the skill video, pay(eg: 1$) only for the content you consumed, earn(eg:0.1 $) for the time you spent"

How we built it

we built using react, node, Rapyd(Api) wallet (wallet details, transfer from one wallet to another),Heroku

Challenges we ran into

To eliminate the fast forward feature in the video and also deduct(user account) and transfer(Creator) the amount. Bringing the analytics to the platform (visualization part)

What we learned

we learned the power of rapyd and also the online education domain, the completion rate is really shocking less than 10%, we got to know this space need more innovation to drive more growth.

What's next for Occupay

As of now, we are a skill learning platform, we want our product to tie up with institutions and L&D to provide the insights of students, employees, tutors/creators to enhance their learning habits.

Also, we have observed some of our peers who got a walkthrough of the prototype, advised us on the real-time video /chat-based application, where such a fintech innovation would reap rewards in the near future.
