Outpost
This project is a long-range Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity library that is intended to work with LoRa-based devices on either 915 MHz.
Need to expand connectivity into the field for research? Have a desire to host a large event in a mostly secluded area with weak wireless connectivity? Want to improve efficiency in monitoring wildlife, farming, or even just geography? Outpost allows for an easily accessible connection to the modern world no matter where you are. With just one base station set up, connectivity will expand miles in every direction as long as you bring a receiver with you. The best part about it? Each Lora device is the size of your fist. Outpost is removing the hassle of massive radio towers and unwieldy antennas - instead resorting to a small handheld device that allows for connectivity across an enormous area and easy transportation no matter where you go.
Texting, streaming, monitoring, data collection, smart devices, and even more uses for all things internet, Outpost gives the opportunity for all to have connectivity to the digital world that connects all of us together even if one is in the middle of a rain forest.
You can find the project board here with the current to-do list. You can also submit PRs or start issues if there are any features you want to add or if there are bugs.
