Inspiration
We were inspired by Korean Colour analysis. We wanted to make a tool to help people understand themselves better and to make daily fashion more accessible.
What it does
- Our colour analysis program takes a live photograph via webcam or an uploaded image and picks out the colours. Based on these hues and the answers to a short quiz, your seasonal palette is calculated and colours are suggested.
- Our wardrobe feature enables users to upload their clothing items and browse through these. It works to help users remember which clothes they have and to easily put together outfits without having the big mess of physically sorting through your clothes.
- We also have a short explanation of the different seasons so users can understand their skin type better for self fulfilment.
How we built it
Python, Streamlit, HTML, CSS
Challenges we ran into
- Issues with availability, working with a smaller team, issues learning, downloading and running Streamlit
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully capturing and using user uploads, creating a colour analysis programme, creating a program to take and display wardrobe items
What we learned
- Using Streamlit
What's next for Palettable
- Features to automatically create your outfit based on your colour palette and your wardrobe items
