The job hunt is often frustrating and confusing. Rejected applications, unclear qualifications, and skill gaps can make it feel like a maze. We wanted to change that. Inspired by the idea that your resume should guide you, we built Path2Pro — a smart portal that turns your resume into a roadmap to your dream job. We believe your first step should be the right step. That means knowing where you stand, understanding your skills, and seeing clearly what comes next. No more wondering about vanishing applications. Just Scan, Sync, and Skillup.

How we built it

Python, Streamlit (frontend and backend), SentenceTransformers (for semantic matching), pdfplumber (for resume parsing), SQLite (database), hashlib (authentication security).

Challenges we ran into

Extracting clean and structured data from unstructured PDF resumes, Ensuring accurate skill-to-job matching using semantic embeddings, Creating a balance between recruiter and user views, Handling session persistence in Streamlit apps, Building a scalable UI in a short time while maintaining functionality

What we learned

How to parse and analyze resumes using pdfplumber, How to compute semantic similarity between resumes and job descriptions using SentenceTransformers, Building intuitive user interfaces with Streamlit, Storing persistent data with SQLite and securing logins via hashlib, Designing clean and modern UI components with Canva, Team collaboration, ideation, and integrating multiple modules efficiently.
