Personal Library Management System

A system to input your library books by inputing the title, genre, ISBN, and author. The system gives you the ability to store as many books as needed, and you can manage loaning out books to people.

Our love for books and coding

What it does

Gives a library management system where you can add your own books and loan them out to people through a user friendly interface.

How we built it

We used our limited knowledge of backend and frontend development to create a working library management system through Java and JavaFX/JFrame for the user interface.

Challenges we ran into

We could not get Java FX downloaded onto our computers, thus we had to use our friend's computer for testing purposes. We also learned the syntax for Java FX on the go.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a working library management system. We also learned the syntax for Java FX and JFrame to code a user interface.

What we learned

We learned syntax for Java FX and JFrame, as well as learning how to use ArrayList.

What's next for Personal Library Management System

Download Java FX to our computers correctly and upgrade the user interface.
