Inspiration
On Google Maps, you can create a list of restaurants/locations that you can share with your friends. However, as the list gets longer, it is hard to sort through them to figure out where you want to go. We wanted an easy way to filter through our friends' recommendations.
What it does
Currently, you can select a location on Google Maps and the program will read the reviews, send them to the OpenAI API to find 5 words to describe the place based on the reviews.
How we built it
We built it using Auth0 to get access to the user's Google Account. We also used the Google Maps, Google Places, and OpenAI APIs. We used REACT to create the web application.
Challenges we ran into
This was many of our first times using JavaScript and REACT, so it was interesting to learn about how to use it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to seamlessly incorperate the APIS.

What's next for PinPal
Hopefully we can incorperate a more social aspect to it.
