Inspiration

The car physics and arena style was inspired by games such as rocket league, but it was mostly an original idea.

What it does

The car attempts to jump off a ramp and hit the plane, while the plane attempts to bomb the car

How I built it

I used Unity as a game engine, and made the models for the arena, ramps, and plane in Blender.

Challenges I ran into

I initially used Unreal Engine, but it was being difficult to work with due to its inability to support concave colliders (its approximation of complex meshes using primitive colliders wasn't very accurate) and its default car physics wouldn't work with the arena I had created (even after modifications).

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • Recreating the game in Unity in around 6 hours
  • Creating models

What I learned

I learned a lot about Unreal Engine and modeling in Blender
