Positext

Inspiration

Our team chose to create our project for mental health awareness. We wanted to bring a heavier impact on social positivity. We thought if someone in this world may or may not have a close one who can be uplifting to their emotions. What if there can be a kind of influencer who can inspire someone each time on a consistent basis that human lives have so much to look forward to?

What it does

Positext allows users to receive inspirational and humanistic quotes in the form of text or e-mail messages. Users are given a selection of categories that fit their mental needs. These categories range from fitness, stress-relief, relationships, self-esteem, etc. Users are also given an answer box to explain their situations in specific detail.

How we built it

Our team utilized HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Figma, Replit, and GitHub to create our website. We first used Figma to design each page of our website. Then we logged on to the Replit where we programmed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files to create the final website.

Challenges we ran into

Some of our team had little experience with the software and languages for this project. With the help of other members familiar with the software and languages, the rest of the team was able to learn new skills and experiment with coding & web design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to finish our overall design of the website. For the rest of the team not familiar with the programming languages and design software, it is an accomplishment for them to have their first hands-on experience in making a project with resources not known to them before.

What we learned

These types of projects are much more efficiently made as a team. There is also so much contributed to coding each web page of the website.
